The Cutler’s Arms on Westgate hosted 12 rock and heavy metal acts on Saturday and seven punk bands on Sunday in a free, extended treat for music fans.

Event organiser Mick Hill said: “It was another fantastic weekend for Rotherfest with a great turnout.”

ODS Saxon and XSLF, featuring two members of Stiff Little Fingers, were the headliners on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Mick added: “There were some originals and some covers which all went down really well.

“The atmosphere was fantastic and it was great to see so many people having a great time watching so many quality bands and having photos with some of their heroes.

“And it was all for free thanks to our sponsors Chantry Brewery and Mexborough Car Testing Centre.

“Thanks to all the bands, staff, sound engineers and all the people came along to create a great atmosphere.”

Next year’s Rotherfest will be on Saturday, July 7.
