Kings set for Isle of Wight debut

Rotherham's Alvarez Kings are celebrating securing a place on the bill at next month's Isle of Wight Festival.

ROTHERHAM rockers Alvarez Kings are preparing for the biggest night of their lives after a successful Stateside festival appearance landed them a spot at the Isle of Wight Festival.

The four-piece are on the bill for one of the summer’s biggest music events off the back of an appearance at the South by South West (SXSW) Festival in Austin, Texas, last month.

With all the CD copies of their debut single, The Sequel, having sold out and the online release attracting plenty of buzz, the band have annouced a series of gigs to warm up for their biggest date yet.

They play a free show at Dickens in Rotherham on Friday, May 14 at 8pm and another date at The Plug in Sheffield on Friday, May 21 (8pm).

They are due to take to the Strongbow Stage at the Isle of Wight Festival at 5.30pm on June 12. Visit myspace.com/alvarezkings for more details.
