Alvarez Kings will perform a “family-orientated” gig on the outdoor stage at The Cutlers Arms from 2pm until 6pm on Sunday.

Singer Simon Thompson (31), of Kimberworth, said the band were “really looking forward to the gig”.

“Mick Hill at The Cutlers has known us for a few years and because our friends and family are always asking when we would play Rotherham,” he said.

“This year we have been touring around Europe and in a couple of weeks time we are off to America for seven weeks and we have just found a break in the craziness to do it.”

The band will be supported by The Leathernecks and So Long Astoria.

Members Simon Thompson (vocals), Sean Parkin (guitar), Paul Thompson (bass) and Rich Walker (drums) will jet out to the US on June 13.

Tickets for The Cutlers cost £5 and are available from The Cutlers Arms, Vinyl Soundbar or people can also pay on the door.
