Harry Potter star's new girl fears on Ivy League arrival

Emma Watson may seem cool - but she's human like the rest of us

HARRY Potter star Emma Watson seems the epitome of cool, embodying a laidback approach to superstardom and a maturity beyond her years.

So it comes of something of a surprise to learn that the actress was terrified in her first week of university, fearing that she wouldn’t fit in.

Recalling her first few days at Rhode Island's prestigious Brown University, Watson (20), told Vanity Fair: “I was scared before I came to Brown that I wasn't going to be allowed to have both a career and a normal life.

People would think that I didn't deserve to have both. (I was afraid they'd think), 'You're famous. You're given free handbags. Why should you deserve to be normal?'"

Watson, who is apparently taking a drama class at Brown—“I think actually I’m the worst person in the class,” she admits— seems so wise beyond her years and comfortable in the spotlight that it’s easy to forget she’s still young.

But what would Hermione Granger say about such insecurities?
