Group lacing up for winter walk

A WALKING group is heading out for its first ramble of the new year this weekend.

Dearne Valley Walking Group’s next walk is the Womersley Wander Walk on Saturday, starting at 11am.

A scenic 7.5-mile walk in open countryside and along tracks, starting from the beautiful village of Womersley, the walk also encompasses the small villages of the Smeatons and Walden Stubbs.

Anyone wanting to take part should meet up at Womerlsey C of E Primary School, Main Street, Womersley, Doncaster.
