Bake Off TV star to host Conisbrough spin-off

People are invited to submit either a Victoria sponge or children’s birthday cake to the contest at St Peter’s Church on Saturday, June 23.

Valerie Stones (pictured), who appeared on the TV show in 2016 and comes from Conisbrough, will judge the Bake Off which has two age groups — under-14s and 14 plus.

First, second and third prizes will be awarded.

Entrants should complete a registration form and take it with their cake to St Peter’s, on Church Street, between 10am and 11am on the day.

Forms are available from www.stpetersconisbrough.org, the church’s charity shop Steptoes in Conisbrough, the church, the Alpha Rooms, Ministry of Craft in Conisbrough and the Hot Chocolate Lounge in Denaby Main.

Prizes will be awarded at the chuch from 1.30pm on June 23.
