Aspiring musicians can plug-in and play at booze-free Rotherham event

YOUNG musicians are being invited to “plug in and play” at an alcohol-free music event this weekend.

Alcohol project Lifeline is following up its success with organising events in Manchester with a Sunday Sound Clash at The Old Market Hall in Rotherham.

Rachel Dickinson, Community Health and Well-being Development Officer for Lifeline, said: “The aim is to get as many young local musicians involved as possible, with the aim of helping to reduce anti-social behaviour and isolation amongst the local youth community through positive creative activities.

“All sound equipment is provided for the event, so all the acts will have do is turn up, plug in and play.”

Musicians aged under 25 can book their slot by emailing via [email protected] or calling Rachel Dickinson on 07872 869370. with the first 50 gaining free entry plus food and drink. Spots are £3 after that.
