MEET YOUR COUNCILLORS: Julie Turner and Allen Cowles at Broom Lane Methodist Church on first and third Mondays 6-7pm and at Whiston Parish Hall on second and fourth Mondays 6-7pm. No appointments necessary.

PARISH CHURCH: The crib service on Christmas Eve was well attended with children sharing in the telling of the story of the birth of Jesus. The choir sang carols before the midnight mass and at the family communion on Christmas day the white candle on the Advent wreath was lit. Family communion was celebrated on the Sunday after Christmas and evening prayer with carols was at 6pm. Holy communion was celebrated on Wednesday.

METHODIST CHURCH: Rev Jenny Park was the preacher at the Christmas morning service. On the Sunday the Junior Church met in the morning and Rev Park preached again at the Sunday evening service.
