We have to be consistent, says Titans coach

TITANS coach Mark Jones reckons consistency will be the solution to the club's current problems.

The Clifton Lane men, down to fourth bottom in the Championship, desperately need a winning tonic when they return to action in the B&I Cup a week on Saturday against Ealing.

And Jones believes the his Rotherham side will come good - providing they do the simple things well.

“Anyone who is playing us at the moment doesn’t have to be a great World Cup-winning coach to know what to do. We have to improve in those areas," he says.

“It’s disappointing because we’ve shown in the first eight-to-ten fixtures of the season that we can goe toe-to-toe with some of the best packs.

“We played Donny and London Welsh and dominated those exchanges and we’ve even shown in the games that we’ve lost that we’ve competed and have been able to impose our forward pack. But there’s so much inconsistency at the moment and that’s the key.

“There were 20 minutes of the Pirates game where we executed to a really high level and it’s just a case of extending that."
