Have you been affected by antisocial behaviour in Herringthorpe?

POLICE want to know if you have been the victim of anti-social behaviour in an area of Rotherham.

The force wants to hear from people suffering the problem in the Far Field Road area of Herringthorpe.

Police said there has been a rise in the number of youths gathering in Far Field Road which are being investigated following complaints from residents.

There have been incidents of youths knocking on doors at unsociable hours and damage to a window caused by stones being thrown at a property in the street.

Police community support officer Stephanie McIntyre said: “Myself and my colleagues regularly patrol this area to ensure that residents are kept safe and to provide a visible presence in the area.

“In recent weeks we’ve received a number of reports of youths gathering in Far Field Road, knocking on doors at unsociable hours, but also during the day.

“This kind of behaviour can be distressing for residents and I’d like to remind people that any form of anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.

“Anyone who is identified as causing anti-social behaviour could ultimately risk being arrested and end up with a criminal conviction.

“I would also like to encourage anyone affected by anti-social behaviour to report incidents to us by calling 101. You can now also report a crime online by visiting www.southyorks.police.uk.”

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 76 of March 25.
