Titans ready for evening assignment

COACH Mark Jones says the Titans can't afford to rest on their laurels now they've broken into the top four in the Championship.

Saturday's win over Moseley at Clifton lifted Rotherham into the promotion play-offs frame for the first time and they could go third with a victory at Bedford tonight provided third-placed London Scottish slip up at home to Nottingham.

Jones says the encounter under the lightfs at Goldington Road has all the ingredients to be an entertaining encounter.

“Bedford play an attractive, open brand of rugby that can be difficult to defend against,” he said. “We also like to throw the ball around so it should be an open, attacking game.

“We only had a light training session on Tuesday because the guys were sore from the weekend and hopefully by match day we will be OK. There's no excuses, whatever group we put out should be able to put in a performance.”

Kick-off is 7.45pm.
