Wrap up warm as cold spell sweeps in
GRITTERS will be out on streets across the Rotherham Borough tonight (Thursday) with temperatures expected to plummet.
Rotherham Borough Council said roads across the area would be gritted from 9pm and would continue to be gritted through the night until road surface temperatures reach above freezing point.
The Met Office said it would become dry this evening and clear spells will lead to a widespread frost.
Its chief forecaster said there is also the chance of wintry showers and snow over the weekend but specifc details are still unclear.
