Bin collection times change across Rotherham

Rotherham Borough Council said although there will be no changes to collection days, the time bins are collected may change.

Bob Morrison, the council's waste collection manager, said: “The council has invested in a number of new waste collection vehicles and the arrival of these, along with increasing demand from the growing number of households, has meant we need to increase the number of collection rounds.

“As a consequence of this it's important that everyone's bin is put out for 7am as there may be a change to your usual collection time.

The council also asked people to take their bins and recycling containers back from the roadside as soon as possible after collection.
