Burglary spate investigated by police

BURGLARS have targeted a number of houses across the borough over the past few days.

A quantity of jewellery was stolen after a kitchen door panel was forced open at a property on Muglet Lane, Maltby between Friday, July 29 and Monday, August 1.

A burglary also took place on Derwent Chase, Waverley Estate, between Friday and Monday.

A front door window was smashed and a garage entered in a new-build property, which residents were due to move in to.

There was also an attempted burglary on Bawtry Road in Hellaby between Saturday and Monday. Entry was gained but nothing was stolen.

Cash was also stolen during a break-in at a house on Bentley Road, Bramley, on Friday at about 7.30am.
