Redfearn to dip into transfer market

ROTHERHAM United boss Neil Redfearn will set about refreshing his squad after tonight's big derby with Sheffield Wednesday.

The clash at the AESSEAL New York Stadium completes a run of three matches in seven days for the new man.

While that has hardly been the ideal introduction, it is giving him time to see how individuals are coping and helping him decide where he needs to strengthen.

With a quieter week before next Saturday's trip to Derby, Redfearn will use his time to delve deeper in the transfer market and he expects to do some loans business.

“It's about identifying targets and then trying to get them,” he told the Advertiser. “You can only have five loans on a matchday and we have four loanees at the club now that Harry Toffolo has come in (from Norwich), and we need to be mindful of that.

“I'll try and arrange a game on Tuesday to give some of the lads who haven't featured as much a chance to play and we'll try and add one or two. Next week should be interesting.”
