CCTV footage released by police after robbery attempt on old woman

Officers want to speak to the man caught on camera about the incident in Church Road on September 17.

Police said that the victim, who uses a mobility scooter, had visited Denaby Main post office at about 9am to withdraw some money.

The woman, from Denaby, had put the money in her handbag and tied the bag to her scooter before making her way home. The victim reports that she became aware of a man approaching her from behind before he made a failed attempt to take her bag from the scooter.

No one was injured but the victim was left shaken by the incident.
