Alfie ready for Rotherham return

FORMER Millers goal hero Adam Le Fondre is set to return to the New York Stadium on Saturday with current club Wolves.

Le Fondre is expected to figure in the squad, with boss Kenny Jackett having been impressed with the way the diminutive striker has imposed himself on recent games.

The former Millers' fans favourite has largely been confined to a bench role since his arrival on a season-long loan from Cardiff.

With another former Miller, Nouah Dicko, out for the season, Alfie is expected to become more involved and he’s already showing signs of a profitable link-up with ten-goal Benik Afobe.

Le Fondre believes the partnership is starting to gel.

“You can see we’re working together, we’ve linked up really well,” he says.

“It’s going well between me and Ben. It’s nice to get some consistency now and kick on and start scoring goals more regularly.

“I want to keep this going and push us up the league.”

Le Fondre, 28, scored three goals in 25 games for Cardiff last season.

There's more build up to Saturday's game in Friday's Advertiser, as Neil Redfearn's team look to make it three wins on the bounce.
