We losing our identity

Sir-- I have just returned from an apointment at Rotherham General Hospital and I have to ask, has the world gone mad?

The lady at the reception asked me the usual questions name, address, etc but when I was asked my nationality and I replied "English" she said: "err we haven't got that one on our system, I'll put you down as white UK."

I replied politely "no thank, you can put me down as other". she gave me a strange look to which i said "well I am English and proud of it."

I am  no more hite UK-ish, than I am Martian.

The sooner England gets its identity back the better I say. But  while we have a British Government telling the English we can't sing our National Anthem (instead we have to sing The British National Anthem,God save the Queen). there's no wonder most English consider themselves British rather than English, unlike our neighbours who cosider themselves Scottish, Irish and Welsh before being British.

Oh yes, that's right they all sing their respective national anthems at sporting events don't they?
