Time for a Derek Dalton clock

I UNDERSTAND that of late the relationship between the paper and Rotherham United is somewhat unsettled but as it’s a recent topic I wanted to write.

I’ve recently seen on the club’s website that Westfield Health are kindly sponsoring the disabled enclosures at New York stadium “in memory of Derek Dalton”.

This immediately brought to my mind the clock on the railway end at Millmoor. Surely now would be the perfect time to relocate the clock to the New York stadium (possibly north west corner?) so that the legacy of super fan Derek Dalton and an aspect of our former residence lives on in our new home?

The stadium hasn’t got a clock apart from the 90 minutes that counts on the score board and I personally feel it would be very fitting in coinciding with the sponsorship deal and I also feel it belongs in the new stadium.

If I have missed any discussion about the clock or what has or has not been decided on its destiny I can only apologise but any light shed on the matter would be very much appreciated. Up the Millers.
