Stand up and be counted

Tell us where to wield the axe . . .  I was astounded to see this headline, after reading the article, then your comment column, you rightly point out there could be a public backlash.

I for one would have thought all councillors once elected would do their best in any situation for the community they serve, even if the decisions are unpopular.

How does the song go?  "When the going gets tough, the tough get going"

Come on you councillors and officers at RBC, the time has come to stand up and be counted.

Ifyou are not up for the job then resign, letting someone in that will justify the allowances that are paid out, and not passing the buck to the people of Rotherham.
