Train storage plan approved for Millmoor
PLANS for Millmoor to continue storing trains have been approved by Rotherham Council.
Scrap metal firm CF Booth asked for permission to use the Millers’ old home for keeping carriages.
The use of the Masbrough site for storing rail cars dates back more than ten years, when Booth’s won a contract to dismantle London tubes being removed as part of a refresh to the Victoria line before the 2012 Olympics.
RMBC approved the new planning application, which will allow Booth’s to continue the use until September 1, 2026.
